This dual-mode interaction enables selective extraction of acidic compounds such as phenols, fatty acids, and metabolites even from high-protein biological matrices. The MAX phase operates over a broad pH range, delivering high analyte specificity while eliminating interfering substances through ion-exchange selectivity.
