XySPE-MCX cartridges use a mixed-mode strong cation exchange (SCX) phase ideal for capturing basic compounds, including alkaloids, amines, and pharmaceutical drugs. The combination of reversed-phase and ionic interaction enables precise cleanup of biological and environmental samples by selectively retaining positively charged molecules, even under high salt or protein load conditions.
